A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the London School of Economics and Political Science

Today’s reform process requires further cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, involvement of foreign professors and teachers in education, organization of joint educational programmes. As a result, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) during today’s online event.

The negotiations were attended by:

  • Professor Paul Kelly, Dean of EMFSS (Economics, Management, Finance and Social Sciences) Programmes
  • Professor David Webb, Academic Head, LSE Extended Education
  • Ms. Elizabeth Aitken, Director of Extended Education
  • Doctor Francesco Nava, Academic Director, EMFSS Programmes
  • Mr. Miles Davies, Senior Business Development Manager.

Foreign compatriot Khamid Irgashev, ACA, ACCA who is Assistant Professor of Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Hult International Business School expressed his views within the framework of this cooperation. At the same time, he works as a foreign advisor and expert at Tashkent State University of Economics.

Rector of Tashkent State University of Economics Professor Kongratbay Sharipov, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Doctor Mansur Eshov spoke at the negotiations. The event was moderated by the Dean of the faculty of International Tourism Nozima Zufarova. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and innovations Gulnora Abdurahmanova, Vice-rector for Youth Affairs Sadriddin Khudoykulov and deans of other faculties.

As a result of signing this memorandum, both parties agreed to work together towards offering University of London (UoL) academic programmes with academic direction from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) at Tashkent State University of Economics. As part of this joint program, it is intended to launch the following joint undergraduate programs at Tashkent State University of Economics for academic year starting 2021/2022:

– Accounting and finance;

– Economics;

–  Banking and finance;

–  Management and Digital Innovation

For information. London School of Economics and Political Sciences was founded in 1895 and is the leading educational institution in the field of economics, which is a member of University of London. The educational institution ranks 27th in the world ranking of higher educational institutions and is famous for the fact that it has provided many Nobel Prize winners in the field of Economics.

The University of London University of London was founded in 1836 year and about 50 thousand students study there. Its composition includes 17 leading and prestigious universities in the UK, including London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
